What It Takes

Do you have what it takes to be the proud owner and operator of your very own Shack? Check out these seven (only seven!) things you need to become a franchise owner… turns out owning a shack isn’t that complicated.

1. MARKET ANALYSIS AND SITE APPROVAL market analisys

Drawing on over 30 years of national franchise experience, our team will help you evaluate your desired market. Your location will be reviewed and approved based on favorable trade area demographics, target population density, household income levels, and competition. Our franchises are typically built out in shopping centers that come with the advantage of visibility, curb appeal, and accessibility.

2. CONSTRUCTION construction

We are available to consult with you regarding lease agreements, permits, building codes, and staying compliant with our Franchise Design Specification Manual. The Manual provides a specific interior design package, the required kitchen layout and design specifications, as well as instructions for the purchasing and installation of equipment.

3. OPENING ASSISTANCE opening assistance

Our company representatives will be on-site to help you with employee training and all aspects of your grand opening. We will also provide all necessary training materials, operating manuals, and guidelines while helping you with the implementation of all procedures. More on-site training is always available on-demand.

4. ONGOING SUPPORT ongoing support

We maintain constant communication with all franchisees. You will receive operating and marketing information as well as fresh ideas to assist in the growth of your business. Also provided is an in-depth consultation report, which provides an analysis of your operation, and a jointly prepared action plan to optimize store performance.

5. PURCHASING purchasing

We have established quality standards in all our operations and we will provide you with a list of products that meet those quality standards. All franchisees participate in our purchasing program and volume buying power to help keep costs down and ensure product quality and consistency, which is essential to a strong franchise system.

6. MARKETING marketing

Our marketing team targets the geographic area of each restaurant through print media, digital marketing, and social platform advertising, and we use an innovative point-of-sale system with detailed customer information to execute precise, cost-effective campaigns. Beef Shack also provides a local marketing manual with recommendations for a variety of community-oriented activities.

7. TRAINING training

A successful operation depends on hiring, training, and retaining quality employees and management personnel. As a franchisee you will have access to a comprehensive training system based on proven standards and guidelines. Prior to the opening of your store, initial training will take place in one of our locations in addition to classroom training in our corporate office. With the exception of personal costs, transportation, and lodging, your training expenses are included in the Franchise fee.
